Hi Everyone - I apologize for not posting in a while but it's been a busy month. I had to have surgery and I went to visit my sister and my nephews in Nebraska so time slipped away from me.
I miss these little guys. That baby with his dimples just melts my heart, he is the sweetest baby and hardly ever fusses. I was able to bathe him and put him to sleep each night and he was a pure joy. I wanted to smuggle him into my luggage but little sister wouldn't let me do that. :)
His big brother just turned 2 in October and that one is smart as a whip. He can talk your head off and it's not jibber jabber, this kid can talk well. He cracks me up with his big boy conversations like, "hey mom, we need to turn right here". LOL
When I was there we took the boys to the Omaha Children's Museum and this place is GREAT for kids. If any of you live around Omaha and have little ones this place is awesome. I had a blast in the Science and Technology room. Here's a link if anyone is interested. Omaha Children's Museum

Roller Skating
I went roller skating today. It's been 20+ years since I've been on roller skates and I managed to fall 2 times in
2 1/2 hours but I had a blast. I put on those skates and the memories of being at the rollerskating rink when I was a tween came flooding back. I also managed to burn major calories today and because I was at the rink skating I didn't eat lunch so my overall calorie intake for today vs. my exercise today was great. I told my hubby that this is going to be a standing Saturday event for me. I cannot wait to get back out there and practice more so I can get back to the type of rollerskating I was used to, dancing and going fast. I was really afraid that I would be embarrassed or fall and break an arm or wrist but it really didn't hurt too much when I fell. My legs and feet are sore tonight but it was SO worth it to me. They always say that you should do an exercise that you enjoy and I have always LOVED skating but just got away from it once I had kids. If there is something out there that you love to do but you're afraid of failure or embarrassment, don't be, just do it, you'll be glad you did.

Fell Off The Wagon Yesterday
Ok, so I've been doing this diet and walking everyday at lunch and I've been doing just fine. Well let me tell you, yesterday was NOT a pretty site. First of all I couldn't walk because it was raining so I stayed inside to do my 1st Yoga class with another lady I work with. Well I found out that Yoga is not going to work for me. All I could think was, "just let me lay on this mat and take a nap". I don't know if it was because it was too quiet or because I just didn't have the fresh air in my face but Yoga & I = Not gonna happen.
Then if that wasn't bad enough I ate just about everything I had on hand yesterday at work. I know I went way over my 1200 calories and I don't know why but this is what I felt like yesterday.
Luckily I was able to get back on track today and I'm doing OK but yesterday was just really weird. I hope you are all doing well. Have a great day!

Slowly..... but its happening
Well I have lost a total of 6 pounds since January 4th. I wish I could lose it as fast as I gained it but I am happy to see that it is coming off. I gave up my unsalted pretzels and my morning Coca Cola and I make sure to eat under 1200 calories a day. The daily walking during the lunch hour is paying off as well. Working in an office all day makes me tired but that walk gives me the boost of energy I need to get through the afternoon. It has started raining here today and is supposed to rain for the next 4 days so I won't be walking but I'll be doing Yoga inside the office. Lord help me if any comes by and sees me. LOL

Trying to Say Goodbye to the Weight
So this week I started using myfitnesspal.com and I've been using my hour long lunch to go walking. I do great with writing down everything I eat but I forget to log it into the fitness pal. I think that I got the week caught up on there now so I will have to try to do it after every meal instead of waiting until the next morning. Is anyone else trying to lose weight? Any tips or suggestions for someone that does not like salads, yogurt or tofu (just to name a few).

Teeny Tiny Scrap Area and I admit I am a Scrapbook Hoarder
Yesterday the hubby and I went to IKEA and bought a tabletop and two drawer units to give me somewhere to scrap. The problem is that I only have space to put it in our bedroom, which wouldn't be a big deal but there is barely any room in there. Anyhow, I spent today trying to go through box after box of scrapbook items and find a place for all that "stuff". It amazes me how much scrapbook stuff I have and it doesn't include what is in the garage or our storage unit. I am a scrapbook hoarder and I love it but boy do I need more space. Once I get it finished I'll post a picture as I LOVE the table top we bought. If anyone has any clever ideas for my space (after you see the pictures) please feel free to clue me in. :)
